Juana is from the Maya Chuj people of San Mateo Ixtatán, Huehuetenango. After high school, she earned a technical degree in Social Work at Universidad Rafael Landívar. She is currently working towards a Bachelor’s in the same field. Juana is the Library Program Coordinator in San Mateo Ixtatán. She loves to learn and be part of workshops at her disposal and loves to help people in the community.
