Luis David Catalán Carrera

Luis David Catalán Carrera is an experienced educator from San Antonio La Paz, El Progreso. He participated in various English language programs sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, which allowed him to become an English teacher. Now, he has had a distinguished career in English teaching since 2014. That same year, he obtained his certification as an English teacher in Guatemala, followed by an international TESOL certification in 2015. In 2016, he participated in an academic exchange at the University of Łódź in Poland. In 2019, he completed his degree in Business Administration at USAC, and in 2024, he earned a Master’s degree in Academic Research from the same university. Currently, Luis serves as Project Manager for the CORE program, responsible for providing English classes to police officers, and since 2019, he has been an English trainer for the SEAL program. Additionally, he is a college professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University Center of El Progreso, USAC, since 2021. Throughout his career, he has developed skills in educational project management, adult training, and academic research, contributing to the enhancement of the linguistic and professional capabilities of his students.
